OSPUpload System FAQ
  • Why do I have to register?
By registering, OSP can limit access to only those known and authorized users. This improves the security of your data that is sent and processed at OSP.
  • How long do I have to wait after registering before I can transfer a file?
Our normal processing time is 24 hours for registration approval; however, we have included a process to facilitate your immediate file transfer. If you need to send a file to OSP immediately, and you have made verbal arrangements with your OSP contact, follow these steps on the registration screen:
Answer 'yes' to the question 'Do you have a specific OSP contact that you would like to have your registration request sent to?' . Type your contact's name, or select their name from the pull down menu. Their associated e-mail address will be populated and your request will be sent directly to that person. Per your verbal conversation, that OSP staffer will be waiting for your request and will approve immediately. You will then be ready to send your file(s).
  • How secure is secure?
OSP has employed a industry-wide secure technology called Secure Sockets Layer or SSL. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection creating a secure connection between a client and a server. Both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer support SSL, and many Web sites use the protocol to obtain confidential user information. By convention, Web pages that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http.
  • How do I know you received my file and it is all there?
Once your file is sent, you are presented with the name, file type and size. This should be adequate information to know that you sent the file you intended to send. You will also be sent a confirmation e-mail message that also contains this information. Should you want to see a proof of your composed job, please contact your customer service representative.
